Christmas dinner will no doubt be more expensive this year and for Canadians who’re disabled or elderly and living on government assistance, they can’t afford to buy any food at all, let alone a 35-dollar turkey for a wholesome Christmas dinner.   

During a time when food prices are the highest they've ever been, it's hard not to think about all the families who can't afford a turkey dinner for Christmas this year. 

That's why Fresh Food Weekly is giving you the opportunity to provide practical support to low-income families in crisis by sponsoring them with a turkey dinner meal box on Christmas Eve this year. 

You can give the gift of giving by giving your sponsored meal box “receipt” in the form of a thoughtful Christmas card and voice note as a present for your friends and loved ones this year.

You'll receive a mailed Christmas card for each sponsored turkey dinner meal box and each card includes a QR code for a personalized voice from a different [and current] program recipient.

Cards will be mailed on-going between the first two weeks of December.
